Lost Canyon Las Brisas Vineyard Pinot Noir 2006
This wine comes from the Las Brisas Vineyard located in the Los Carneros appellation. We have worked closely with Francis Mahoney, the owner, to select two clones from more than 10 planted in the vineyard. We chose Dijon 115 and UCD 18 and they provide this wine with a ruby red color, light berry/cherry notes and a hint of spice and mint. This unique wine is very well balance with just the right hints of oak.
Wine Enthusiast Las Brisas has been one of Lost Canyon’s most consistent bottlings, and the ’06 is simply delicious. It’s light and elegant and silky, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t pack layers of complexity. Cherries, black raspberries, cola, smoky vanilla and Asian spices flood together, leading to a long, perfectly Pinot finish. Drink now.
