Montevetrano Colli di Salerno Rosso 2004
The 2004 vintage features a very young and heavy fruit concentration on the nose and palate. The aromas and flavors are reminiscent of currants, blackberries and forest fruits, with deep and elegant notes. Wine Advocate The 2004 Montevetrano is a knock-out. Endless layers of richly textured dark fruit flows from the glass as this gorgeous wine gradually reveals the depth of its expression. Tar, smoke, menthol, eucalyptus and earthiness emerge with air, adding further complexity as the wine sits in the glass. Gorgeously long and pure - with a finish that lasts forever- this sumptuous wine is not to be missed. Montevetrano is 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 10% Aglianico.
