Core Rosé 2006
50% Tempranillo, 25% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre and 5% Syrah from Laetitia and Alta Mesa Vineyards. 1.75 to 3 tons per acre yield. Aged 11 months in the barrel and 4 months in the bottle. Wine Advocate The 2006 Core Rose, a blend of Tempranillo and Mourvedre, is a superb rose that sells for a song. It is like a kir cocktail with a dollop of strawberry liqueur, candied strawberry and cherry fruit and a long, heady finish. Enjoy this hedonistic rose over the next six months. Score: 90. —Robert Parker, August 2007. |
